About NHS Athens

An NHS Athens account is a username and password that will allow you to access a huge range of quality electronic resources such as databases, e-journals and e-books, purchased by the ERC Library and the NHS.

Who can register?

You can register for an NHS Athens if you are employed by, or a student on placement at an NHS organization.

Registration process

After completing the registration form, you will receive an activation email asking you to choose a password.

PLEASE NOTE: If you register from a computer on the NHS network, you will receive the activation email immediately. If you register outside the NHS however e.g. from home or from a university computer, you will have to wait 12 to 15 days.

Have you recently joined UHSM?

If you have recently joined UHSM you may already have an active Athens account from your previous NHS organisation. If you can remember your old username and password, you don't need to re-register. Instead you just need to change your organisation to UHSM. You can do this by clicking here. Login in at the top right of the page and then click on My Account. Please note, if you can no longer access the email address you previously registered with, you should change your email address first.
