About NHS Athens

An NHS Athens account is a username and password that will allow you to access a huge range of quality electronic resources such as databases, e-journals and e-books, purchased by the ERC Library and the NHS.

Who can register?

You can register for an NHS Athens if you are employed by, or a student on placement at an NHS organization.

Registration process

After completing the registration form, you will receive an activation email asking you to choose a password.

PLEASE NOTE: Please register on the NHS network (N3) if you can. If you're not on N3 YOU MUST provide a professional, work or academic email address. This is required to verify your identity and your eligibility for an Athens account.

Do you already have an Athens account from your previous organisation?

If your old account is still active and you can remember your login details, you do not need to re-register. Instead you should access your Athens account, change your email address and then change your organisation.
