If you are employed by Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust, you are entitled to join the ERC Library.
We can offer you a full range of our services including:

We also have a large collection of mental health related books and provide a comfortable space for group work or quiet study.

Athens and Electronic Resources

An NHS Athens account will allow you to access a whole variety of quality electronic resources and additionally, locally purchased resources specific to Mental Health. To self-register for an Athens, click here.
After you complete the online form, you will receive an email. You can then choose a password an activate your account. If you have any queries regarding Athens, please contact your Athens administrator, Stephen Woods on 0161 291 5780 by email

What You Can Access with an Athens Account

Electronic journals.
The collection includes access to the Psychology and Behavioural Sciences Collection - the world's largest psychology journals database.

If you would like to receive by email, the Electronic Tables of Contents (ETOCS) of any journal, please click here.

Healthcare databases.
Access databases such as PsycINFO, Medline, EMBASE and CINAHL.

Electronic books.
Access the full-text of over 150 e-books. The easiest way to search is by keyword or using the A-Z title list.

Latest additions to the e-books collection is Kaplan and Sadock's Comprehensive Textbook of Psychiatry and
Lishman's Organic Psychiatry
